We are seeking a Graduate Accountant/Business Analyst for our Oil & Gas Operator Client. This is an ongoing (12 months minimum) contract position with immediate start.
This role would suit:
Locally based candidate ideally with experience of the oil & gas market.
A Graduate in Accountancy or Business with a Finance bias + 2-3 years experience within a costing/finance team.
This is a development opportunity for someone keen to progress within both Business Support and the wider Finance team.
The individual will be responsible for cost allocation and financial coding of supplier invoices.
In addition to this they will be responsible for a number of key month end processes. The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of Business Support and will be expected to provide a high degree of support and cover to the Asset Analysts.
Duties & Responsibilities to include:
Cost allocation and financial coding of supplier invoices
Reconciliation of drilling supplier invoices to cost tracking models
Inventory accounting responsibilities for Offshore Africa
Provide cost tracking support to Asset Analysts (Drilling) as and when required
Support Asset Analysts during budget, LOF and forecasting processes
Support Asset Analysts (Drilling) in preparation of well reviews for partner audits
Logistics accounting responsibilities for Offshore Africa drilling operations
Ad-hoc cost analysis
General admin support for Asset Analysts
Experience of working with Maximo7.6 Wellview9.0, Sun Accounts, Enterprise One 9.1 and Microsoft Office applications will be an advantage although training will be given as required.
The candidate will be working towards a Professional Accountancy Qualification or commitment to commence doing so
The candidate will be educated to degree standard or equivalent
